Know this! There is a God and He loves you very much.  He has a beautiful plan for your life, but unfortunately, there is a BIG problem.  Humanity is sinful and separated from God.  We have all done, thought ,and said bad things, which the Bible calls “sin”.  The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” - Romans 3:23. The punishment of sin is death, spiritual separation from God that effects everything in our lives. (Romans 6:23)

 

So what is the Gospel?  What is the Good News for a humanity that is lost & separated from the Lord?

 

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes and gives his life to Him shall not die, but have everlasting life! (John 3:16) 

 

Jesus said that He came that we may have life and have it abundantly! (John 10:10)

 

Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever. 

 

“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” - Romans 5:8

 

But it didn’t end with Jesus’ death on the cross.  He rose again and still lives!  “Christ died for our sins… He was buried… He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures” - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

 

Jesus is the ONLY way to God.  Jesus said, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no on comes to the Father, but through Me” - John 14”:6

 

So how can you have this real relationship with God?

 

You can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace through our faith in Jesus Christ. All you have to do is the following:

 

1. Believe that you are a sinner, that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead.

2. Ask Jesus to forgive you for all of your sins

3. Repent or turn from your sins and commit your life to Jesus. 

 

If you need help, here is a suggested prayer to pray.  Pray this prayer and mean it from your heart and you shall be saved.  

 

Dear God, I know I am a sinner and I know I lived my life my own way.  

I believe in Jesus, that He is God, that He died for me and that He is risen from the dead.  

Please forgive me for all of my sins. I want to live the rest of my life for you.

I want to obey You as Master of my new life as a Christian.

Thank you for being my God & giving me a new life in You. - Amen.
