How's Your Walk?

The Concept of “WALKING” with the Lord has always fascinated me.

It goes all the way back to Genesis 3 where Adam & Eve, in their newly fallen state, “heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.”

Have you ever wondered what that sounded like? One can only speculate! Was he humming? Was He laughing? Was His creation reacting to His glorious presence? Were the trees clapping their hands? Were the mountains and the hills breaking forth into singing? (Isaiah 55:12)

We do know that God was calling out for His walking partner… Adam! He didn’t want to walk alone in His glorious creation. He always intended for mankind to walk with Him! Yet sin spoiled that beautiful appointment.

Until our day of departure at death or His glorious return for His Church (where we will walk with Him face to face, Revelation 3:4) … we walk in various ways with our God. In the Bible there are around 30 such ways we are to Walk with & in the Lord. Let’s see what they are!

• Walk in the Fear of our God – Nehemiah 5:9
